This type of response is typical from those suffering from the Stockholm syndrome. Since all they have ever known is the environment provided to them by Phillip Garrido, it is very likely that they have no concept of the grave deceptions that have occurred and are truly missing the Garridos. Yet, to those who were in actual contact with Jaycee, Starlet, and Angel no one was aware that they were living a nightmare, unfortunately, it is quite possible that Starlet and Angel never had any idea that anything was wrong. We don’t know how long Jaycee and her daughters have been spending time outside the home, however.
